The ship with the design description of Heimli MPSV34 (Multioperative Service Vessel) was delivered from the NSS Spółka shipyard in Poland to the shipowner Notmann AS in January 2017. In 2015, the shipowner received the sister ship MS Notmann from the same shipyard.
The ships, which are a specially designed type of catamaran, developed in close cooperation with the shipowner, have cranes and an entire working deck at the front. The wheelhouse is located at the rear, which means there is less risk of screws hitting the fish farm. All work takes place above the bow with full visibility from the bridge.
The service boat is characterized by very good stability, a large deck enabling the handling of heavy berths, a closed hold to prevent the spread of infection when transporting mesh bags, and a separate hold for nets and rescue equipment in the event of an escape. The ship is perfect for use both in agriculture and as a service and maintenance vessel for drilling platforms located in shipyards.
